Howe Public Schools takes the safety and security of our students very seriously. Over the past several hours, the HPS Administration has been working diligently to investigate a date-specific threat and the issue has been resolved. The responsible party has been identified and Howe Public Schools’ Administration and Law Enforcement have addressed the issue. There are no known threats that are credible and school will be in session tomorrow.
Howe Public Schools’ Administration has been made aware of a threat mentioning tomorrow’s date, though there seems to be some confusion of an unrelated threat to an area school. We are actively working with local law enforcement to investigate our situation at Howe High School. The Administration will provide further notification later this evening.
There will be a JOM/Indian Ed Parent Committee meeting on Thursday, Feb 1 at 5 pm during PT Conferences.
