Phase I Progress: New High School Construction
Phase I of our new high school is moving forward with major work happening across the site!
Mark Woodall & Sons Electric and Destry Harber with Harber Air Conditioning & Refrigeration are installing 50 tons of new A/C in the new gym—just in time for Monday’s 8th Grade Graduation!
OG&E is onsite today bringing permanent electric service to the job site, and Superintendent, Scott Parks and maintenance staff member Todd Gardenhire have been working hands-on, installing red iron beams on the two-story roof of the new building.
We’re excited to see this investment in our students take shape as we gear up to celebrate graduations this coming week!

Howe Boys Basketball Camp https://bit.ly/lioncamp2025
We are thrilled to invite you to another exciting year of BOYS Basketball Camp, a fun, fast-paced, and skills-packed experience designed to help young athletes grow in confidence and ability on the court! This year’s camp will take place May 27–29 (Tuesday through Thursday) from 1:00- 4:00 PM at the Howe High School Gym. The cost is $50 per camper, and each participant will receive a free camp t-shirt.
The camp is open to boys entering grades 3rd–9th, and we’re happy to consider exceptions upon request. It’s also open to all schools, so whether you're a returning Howe Lion or just love the game, we welcome you to join us!
Campers will receive quality instruction from Head Coach Britt Brown, Assistant Coach Josiah Mitchell, along with incredible support from special volunteers from the Howe Lions. Together, we’ll focus on individual skill development, including ball-handling, shooting, defense, footwork, and team fundamentals. These are the same drills and techniques used by our high school athletes that are broken down in a way that's fun, engaging, and age-appropriate.
But this camp is more than just basketball, it's about building confidence, leadership, teamwork, and friendships. Whether your child is brand new to the game or preparing for junior high or high school competition, this camp is a great way to grow their game and love for basketball.
A concession stand will be available, so campers can grab snacks and drinks throughout the morning.
For questions or additional information, please contact Coach Britt Brown at 918-658-5200.
To receive important updates and announcements about camp, be sure to join our Remind group by texting @howebas to 81010. We'll send reminders and info as the camp approaches.
Don't miss out on three days of fun, growth, and great basketball! Spots fill up quickly, so grab your shoes, bring your hustle, and we’ll see you on the court!

🚨 Weather Update for Howe Schools 🚨
Severe storms, including tornado-warned cells, are currently located to the northwest of LeFlore County near Stigler. We are closely monitoring the situation in coordination with LeFlore County Emergency Management and the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office.
All off campus field trip groups have a plan of action for any weather emergency needs, and are in direct communication with our administrative staff and resource officers.
If we need to move students to the storm shelter, parents and guardians will be notified immediately.
Please note: Due to the size of our student population, the school storm shelter will not be available to community members at this time.
We will continue to provide updates as needed. Stay weather aware and safe!
Howe High School students, Kyler Gaines and Taytum Raines, participated in the School of Choctaw Language end of year celebration. They were addressed by tribal dignitaries including the Assistant Chief and Chief. Students competed in language games and were served an incredible pulled pork sandwich for lunch. Yakoke, Choctaw Nation. We are proud of you Kyler and Taytum!

Due to the forecasted weather, the snow cone truck has canceled its visit scheduled for tomorrow.
We’re proud to announce that four Howe students were selected to represent our school at the first-ever Coding at the Capitol event — one of only four schools chosen statewide! Levi Smith (8th Grade), Justus Smith (8th Grade), Haileigh Malone (10th Grade), and Mailee Lambert(10th Grade) showcased their Code.org computer science projects and visited with state leaders, including Representative Rick West, to discuss the importance of CS and AI education in Oklahoma schools. Projects were created as part of their computer science class under the guidance of teacher, Mrs. Tammy Parks. We’re so proud of these students for leading the way in innovation and representing Howe with excellence! #HowePride #CodingAtTheCapitol #ComputerScience #STEMinOklahoma #FutureInnovators #TeachCode
