Did you know Howe Public Schools has an ACT Incentive Program?
Students taking the ACT for the first time who score 20 or above (composite score) will receive $100 cash award.
Students who have already taken the ACT and scored above a 20 (composite score) will receive $100 cash award IF they take the test again and improve their score by two points or more.
Students with a composite score of 30 or more will receive $300.
These incentives apply only to the national test, not residual exams.
Tuesday Aug 22 is the FCCLA District Movie Night at the Poteau Drive-in. Gates open at 7 pm and the cost of admission is $5 per person. Anyone interested in attending is welcome. The movie showing is Nut Job 2. We hope everyone will come out and enjoy an evening together.

The HS Lions battled late into the night (and early this morning) in the EOSC Tournament yesterday and came up short against Kiowa. Game ended at 1 am. The Lions play again today at 4 pm. Good luck Lions! #HPSLions
Howe is experiencing incredible growth in enrollment this school year. There are 93 NEW students in K-12th grades (see attached photo of breakdown by grade level), for a total enrollment of 629 in PK-12th vs 585 for 2016-17 school year. Enrollment is up by 44 students!
