The Lion Pride is excited to welcome Sandra Hamner as our new HS Tech Lab/Choctaw Lab Assistant! Residing right here in Howe, Oklahoma, Sandra is ready to embark on this exciting new journey with Howe Public Schools.
Sandra loves spending quality time with her husband, Tyler, and their son. Whether they're exploring the great outdoors or working outside together, the Hamners are all about family and adventure. In her free time, Sandra enjoys peaceful walks and getting lost in a good book.

The Lion Pride is thrilled to welcome Whitney Westbrook as our new Elementary Paraprofessional!
Whitney brings close to three years of experience as a paraprofessional, and she’s eager to dive into this exciting new chapter at Howe Public Schools.
Whitney is a proud mom of two active sons, Koldyn and Eli, who excel in basketball, football, cross country, track, and archery. When she’s not cheering them on, Whitney enjoys attending church and spending quality time with her family and friends.

We look forward to welcoming our students on Thursday, August 15 for the first day of class! Just a reminder, no student drop-offs should occur prior to 7:35 am. The school day starts at 8 am and ends at 3:20 pm.
3 year old program - 1st grade students can be escorted to their buildings the first two days of school; 2nd - 5th grade students will report immediately to the cafeteria for breakfast, any 6th-8th grade students dropped off after 7:50 am should go to the cafeteria.
HS students will gather in the HS breezeway and will be escorted to the New Gym for a high school orientation once the first bell rings.
Breakfast and lunch menus are posted in the School App for Thursday and Friday. The first full week's menus will be updated soon!

The Lion Pride is thrilled to welcome Suzanna Frizzell as our new Full-Time Substitute Teacher and Office Worker! Suzanna, a proud graduate of Howe Public Schools, has been a familiar face in our jungle for the past eight years as a substitute teacher. Now, she’s stepping into a full-time role, and we couldn’t be more excited!
Suzanna is married to Limuel Frizzell, and together they’ve been blessed with two wonderful daughters, Kaitlyn and Jacey. Outside of school, Suzanna enjoys spending quality time with her family, diving into a good book, and experimenting with both old and new recipes in the kitchen.

The Howe Senior Class of 2025 is hosting a Senior Sunrise on Wednesday, August 14 near the campus front field rock wall from 6:00 - 7:00 am. Breakfast will be provided. Update 08/05/24: $30 school supply Visa cards are available for all verified Howe Johnson O' Malley Indian students (EC - 12th grade). Supply cards can be picked up at the Technology Building during Back To School Night on Tuesday, Aug. 13 between 5-8 pm! A parent/legal guardian signature is required at time of pick-up and the student must be a verified JOM student. JOM parents are asked to complete a 506 form and complete the JOM Needs Assessment survey at the time of pickup.
To be eligible for services through the Johnson O'Malley (JOM) program at Howe Public Schools, students must be enrolled in the district, and parents must:
Provide the student's tribal membership card, and/or parent's card & child's state-issued birth certificate.
Once a child is verified by the JOM office staff, the following are services that the JOM program offers to Howe students:
Educational Supplies ($30 Visa Card)
Academic Incentives per Semester
Fees/Registrations
Cap and Gown Fees for 8th Grade and HS
Cultural Awareness Field Trips and In-School Activities and Programming

Welcome to the Jungle, Vernon Scarberry!
The Lion Pride is excited to welcome Vernon Scarberry, our new 5-12th Softball Coach and 3rd-4th Basketball Coach, to Howe Public Schools! Vernon brings five years of experience coaching softball and elementary basketball, with a passion for teaching and inspiring young athletes to be their best both on and off the field or court.
When he's not coaching, Vernon enjoys quality time with his family, whether it's cheering them on in their athletic pursuits or going fishing together. He treasures these moments and the bonds they create.
Although leaving his former school wasn't in his original plan, Vernon believes this move to Howe was God-led and has been the best decision for him and his family. He loves the culture that has been established at Howe and is excited to be a part of it, contributing to the continued success of our students.
