The Howe Johnson O'Malley program is hosting a Native American Cultural Day on Thursday, May 2 at The Warehouse. Parents of our JOM students are invited to attend. JOM students in grades PK-12th will participate in crafts, dance, Choctaw Language, and a weapons exhibit. Here is the schedule:
9 am - 10:15 am - Session 1 - PK- 2nd
10:20 am - 11:35 am - Session 2 - 3rd-4th
11:40 am - 12:55 pm - Session 3 - 6th-8th and 5th grade
1 pm - 2:15 pm Session 4 - 9th-12th

The Howe High School All-Sports Banquet is scheduled for Tuesday, May 14 at The Warehouse. The banquet will begin at 6 pm. The meal will be catered by Eli French, and the cost will be $15 per plate. You may pay at the door. #HPSLions

Micah Davidson, a Howe High School Junior, was recently selected to the Oklahoma Indian Student Honor Society. Micah has a 4.3781 weighted GPA. Micah is the daughter of Michael and Jennifer Davidson. She is a member of the Lady Lion softball team, cheerleading squad, Youth Advisory Board, National Honor Society and the student council. Micah started the student organization, Native American Intertribal Student Association at Howe Public Schools this year. She is also a member of the Yvnnvsh Homma stickball team and dance troupe. She is the former Choctaw Nation District 4 Junior Miss. Micah is a member of Faith Community Church of The Nazarene, and started a Native American ministry in her church. #HPSLions

Senior night ceremony for Poteau after the JV game. Varsity game will be started after Poteau’s Senior night ceremony, around 5:45-6 pm-ish.

Congratulations to Lyric Scarborough 3rd place 8th Ag Explorations, Gracie Harris 2nd Extemporaneous 1st 8-9-10 General Ag, and Victoria Sharp 1st place in Natural Resources at the Regional Speech Contest yesterday!!! Gracie and Victoria advance to Area Monday the 29th!!!


Congratulations to our Howe High School Class of 2024 Honor Grads! The Baccalaureate Service is scheduled for Sunday, May 5 at 5 pm; Graduation Service is scheduled for May 5 at 7 pm. Both programs will be held in the Gymnasium.
The valedictorian is Allison Crabtree, the daughter of Ben Crabtree and Amber Bise. Her weighted GPA is 4.41.
The salutatorian is Karsyn Nye, the daughter of Richie and Kathy Nye. Her weighted GPA is 4.34.
The historian is Emily Ramirez, the daughter of Sheila & Keith Bradley and Barnabe Ramirez. Her weighted GPA is 4.27.

Congratulations to our 8th Grade Honor Grads. 8th Grade Graduation is scheduled for May 7 at 6 pm in the Gymnasium.
8th Grade Valedictorian is Brody Bryant. Brody is the son of Scott and Kim Bryant. He enjoys playing music and plans to attend college after high school in hopes of earning a bachelor’s degree in music.
8th Grade Salutatorian is Ryon Janway. Ryon is the son of Teddy and Hillary Janway. He enjoys playing video games and plans on furthering his education after high school.
8th Grade Historian is Kobi Krebbs. Kobi is the daughter of Jeremy and Rachel Krebbs. She enjoys playing sports and being involved in church. She looks forward to high school sports and where God takes her in her life.
