Today, on National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Howe Public Schools' SROs, Officer Barry Riggs and Officer Deavin Oldaker. Both our Officers are commissioned through the LeFlore County Sheriff's Dept., and we would like to thank the Dept. for their ongoing support of the SRO program at Howe Public Schools. Our dedicated SROs work tirelessly to keep our schools safe and secure. Their commitment to fostering positive relationships, mentoring our students, and ensuring a supportive learning environment is truly commendable. Thank you for your dedication and service to our school family. #SROAppreciationDay #SafeSchools #ThankYouSROs Officer Barry Riggs began the school year with us, and Officer Deavin Oldaker joined us on February 1st. Barry Riggs graduated from Pocola High School.   He is an Air Force Veteran, and started his law enforcement career in 2006.  He is married with three daughters, and currently serves as the youth pastor at Cameron Community Church.  Officer Deavin Oldaker graduated from Poteau Public Schools in 2006. He then attended Oklahoma Wesleyan University (OKWU) and CASC. He is married to Jessica Oldaker, and they have two boys Crayton (4) and Jackson (2 1/2 mths).
