Students in Mrs. Parks’ HS Computer Science Discoveries class recently finished an Interactive Art Project, marking the end of Unit 6, Physical Computing. Using Circuit Playground sensors and physical materials, students explored blending digital and physical elements to craft interactive artwork. This project underscores their understanding of hardware inputs and outputs, exemplified by their use of Code.org’s App Lab and Adafruit’s Circuit Playground to develop programs mirroring smart devices. Throughout the unit, students honed their skills in controlling inputs and outputs, integrating sensors like accelerometers, and extending device functionality with external components like LEDs and buttons. This hands-on approach culminated in the creation of unique interactive art pieces, showcasing their mastery of physical computing concepts. #ComputerScienceDiscoveries #HPSLions
