The "Howe's Band" and choir, "Mane Attraction", put on a great show Friday night! From solos, to duos, to band and choir ensembles, Howe students showed great talent as they performed great songs from yesterday, today, and even some local original music!
Lost and found is overflowing once again.
State testing starts next week for 3rd and 4th grades. 5th through 8th will start on the 21st. It is so important for your children to be at school for all tests, if at all possible. Students that are not present, will still have to take the tests upon returning to school. It is also so important for you to encourage your students to do their best. Don't stress them out over it, praise and encouragement work best. It is their time to shine and show all they know. They have worked hard this year and are ready for anything that comes their way. Here is an idea that you could use to help with showing your child your support during testing.

Physicals for any athlete entering grades 5-12 in the upcoming 2025-26 school year will be on May 7th at 8:00 AM in the Lobby of the new gym.
Students in elementary and middle school need to bring a note, parents/guardians call the office or make contact with a teacher before we will let them go home with another student or get home a way other than the students usual transportation.
Congratulations to the Lady Lions on a stellar Runner Up finish in the Slowpitch Leflore County Tournament! The team scored 44 total runs in 3 wins and 1 Loss! 5 Lady Lions were awarded All Tournament honors: 2nd team- Junior Josey Peterson and senior Micah Davidson. 1st team- Junior Kadynce Delt, senior Jazz Harrison and Senior Preslee Jackson! #KappaHowe

Mrs. Kardokus's 10th grade English classes completed projects over a character in the novel, Fahrenheit 451, who is on the run in a futuristic society. These students went above and beyond the project expectations to create "Wanted" posters. Great job!!! #LionPride

Earlier today, our school administration was made aware of a threatening statement made by a student. While the communication lacked specific details, we took immediate action out of an abundance of caution. Our School Resource Officers, in coordination with the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office, are actively investigating the matter.
At this time, there is no immediate threat to our campus or our students.
To ensure transparency, this incident will also be referred to other appropriate agencies.
The safety and well-being of our students remain our top priority. We will continue to work closely with law enforcement to maintain a secure and supportive learning environment.
