Lindsey Reppen-Freshman - Howe FFA and Preslee Jackson-7th grade -Howe 4H had the privilege of meeting Oklahoma Governor Stitt today. Both girls are showing pig gilts at the 105th annual Oklahoma Youth Expo (OYE) this week at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds in OKC. They made it to the semi-finals, but unfortunately, they came up short! I know they wouldn't have traded that experience for anything, and I was so proud of them for giving it their all! Congratulations to both our Lady Lions and Lions as they earned their way into the “Elite 8” in the Class 2A Basketball State Championship scheduled for Thursday, March 12-14!
Both teams will play in the quarter-finals on Thursday, March 12. The Howe Lions will play Minco at 2 pm at Yukon. The Howe Lady Lions will play Caddo at 8:30 pm at Mustang.
Due to the State Championship Tournament game schedule, school will be dismissed on Thursday and Friday, March 12 & 13 to allow for our Howe Fans to attend games. (Just a reminder, Spring Break is scheduled for March 16-20.)
