Howe Lions baseball run ruled Smithville 10-1 and will play again tomorrow at 5:00 in the Battiest Tournament. Way to go boys! #HPSLions ⚾

Howe School Resource Officer Jody Cooper and Vocational Agriculture Instructor James Marshall recently partnered on a project in which students in Mr. Marshall’s 2nd hour class (Introduction to Natural Resources and Environmental Science) participated in an elective pilot class focusing on Criminal Justice Strategy and the goal of how to increase campus safety and awareness. For the past two weeks, eight students analyzed campus safety concerns and chose a project addressing an identified area of concern. The students noticed shrubbery was partially blocking two lower elementary exterior door exits, and developed a plan to fix the problem. The students worked together to prune the overgrown shrubs, opening a safe pathway for both exterior emergency exits. The Criminal Justice Strategy pilot class received great reviews from the participants and will possibly be implemented as a full year course next school year.
