On Tuesday, Sept. 10, the Howe High School seniors spent their day volunteering at a local food bank, where they tackled a massive amount of work that would normally take volunteers at the bank 2 to 3 days to complete. Their teamwork and enthusiasm helped them sort and bag food for people in need, leaving an impact on both the community and their sense of accomplishment.

Last Wednesday, September 4, 31 BPA students from HHS attended the College and Career Awareness Day at OneOk Field in Tulsa. Afterwards, they enjoyed a Drillers baseball game.
Testing for two days straight can be grueling. However High School students took a break during the middle of Tuesday's NWEA benchmark testing for an epic rock, paper, scissors tournament including the staff! If a student lost, they were eliminated and handed their necklace to the victor. It came down to Wylie Pinto as our first RPC Champ.

If you have not already filled out the Economically Disadvantage Form out yet, please do so as soon as possible. This is for all students in grades By completing this form, whether you qualify or not, no matter what your income, will help our school in getting Title 1 funds. These funds are a vital part of what helps our school operate each year.

Howe Hugh School will be benchmark testing on Monday and Tuesday this week. Please help ensure students are present, rested, and ready to go. We will only have viable data if students try their best. If students miss a test, they will be pulled for a make-up test. Students generally do not perform as well and they will have to make up any missed classwork if they are taking make-ups, so please have them here on time and ready. If students attend KTC, they should go to KTC as usual. If they are concurrently enrolled in college, take any courses at the Warehouse, or have internships, they are to report to the main high school building for testing at the start of the day. Thank you for helping us collect data to know how to best assist students in overcoming deficiencies as well as discovering areas of strength to grow upon!
Congratulations to Balie Moore! She placed 2nd in the AOB class with her heifer and placed 2nd with her steer this weekend at the LeFlore County Free Fair.

Howe Baseball Won the Cameron Baseball Invitational Tournament tonight beating Cameron in the finals 9-0.
